m1 -> v3 analog

you see having the v3 -> m1 should go digital but I just found out that 7-pin is broke/faulty.  I did recordings tonight ranging my m1 volume knob from 4-6 with the v3 gain at 25 and trim at about the 50 mark.  Is this sound like good settings?  I just need to know before Thursday since that is when I really need to know were the settings will need to be since that is the time a respectable recording needs to go down.  Thanks for tips if any....

I'm assuming you recorded V3 analog-out > analog-in M1.  First, you should get your 7-pin fixed or borrow one.  Barring that option, you should run the V3 analog-out > M1 option just as recommended with your MP2:

[1]  Set the M1 Rec Level to 10
[2]  Adjust levels on your V3
[3]  Monitor levels on your M1 and see [2] as necessary

exactly what skalinder said...try to keep your levels up, but not too high where they're solid red and peaking all the time.  try to keep in the orange on the v3 and your recording should come out pretty good.

also make sure you're running your mics in a proper configuration and try to get your stand inbetween the PA speakers just a smidge in front of the soundboard if you can.

that should hook you up with a pretty solid tape.

For recording V3 digital-out > M1, YES.  For recording V3 analog-out > M1, do NOT use the level meters on the V3!!!  Use the level meters on the M1 as previously noted.

Well the 7-pin is in to let the good flows come out of the rig!  Thanks again Gordon.  I will send back the batteries if you can send me the owners manual.
