shot an email to ADK asking if they would ever consider doing a LD multipattern tube mic that could be powered by DC in the field, here is the reponse...doubt it will lead to anything, but who knows...one can hope...would love to have a field powered tube version of the TL's, but with more patterns

Great Suggestion!! Really hadn’t gotten a lot of requests yet,
but then the Shoeps End-Users are just beginning to discover
some of ADK’s Orchestral Mics. We will pass this to the design
engineers and see how practicable it would be. I guess 48 Volts
is not what the Field Mics Power at ? ? (Alas, not my area !)
I appreciate the input, and it will get discussed at great length!!!
I have done a few field recordings, but mostly piano ensembles in
altogether weird acoustic spaces seems to be where I ended up.
