the update is great and all, but you'd think they could get the firewire transfers up to speed.

You mean that literally?  The firewire interface isn't running at its full speed, but [knock wood] mine's been working 100% reliably.  I still run md5 checks against the original and copied files, but so far so good.  And now that I've found out how to unmount a firewire drive from the shell, my script to take md5sums and copy the files and md5 those can ensure that the firewire doesn't hang when the drive hasn't been addressed in some time.

I'm still doing MD5s as well and I have not had a single error since the last update.

I'm going to let you guys shake out the new release. 
The first rule of amateur neurosurgery club is .... I forget.

Yeah, I'm gonna sit on 1.37. The only thing I need is FW speed at this point. The new release didn't address anything in particular that I needed.

Mine gets mailed from parker tuesday. Cant fuggin wait. wander which firmware itll have...
