maybe get them checked over if theyre that old(berlin wall came crashing down in 89 right?)
if they were kept in smoke-free environments or a pelican case, i wouldnt worry about ti too much, but since your so close to MG, id have them look them over, why not ya know

my mics are definitely not the oldest ones here. in fact, they are probably in the running for the newest mics. I got them new in mid-May (as soon as they arrived in the US). The frequency test plots were done in Germany on April 29, 2005
late 70's/early 80's maybe? i wrote neumann with my serial numbers.
