someone on a soundfield list i'm on posted this, as they just "acqired it".
how freakin' cool is that?  4011 capsules in the soundfield tetrhydral array.  way cool.
I bet this is the best stereo mic on the planet.

wow!

that thing is slick looking... I never got too excited about the Soundfield when I had it, it sounds good but it was big and bulky... too much trouble for me. This looks a little easier to handle

just having 5 patterns on the u89s was enough to drive me mad.... that little box with width etc.   AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

but it was a cool toy :)

What do you make of this line in the processing unit description?

Quote from:  AGM-MR2 technology
We can enter here into a long technical discussion about the use of higher resolution converters but, as we have optimised the 20bits that we use within the dynamic range and general performance "window" of our microphone system I have been assured by my technical people that there is such a minimal improvement therough the usage of a "more than 20bit" converter system so as to render the investment very questionable at this time.

I'd guess at least 6 grand...

I can't imagine how magnificent that might sound
