Best non stealth set up?
« on: August 14, 2005, 06:15:44 PM »
I record a lot of club shows where I'm allowed to tape.  I usually just use my csb's but would like recommendations for other types of mics that you guys recommend for a loud, club show.  Also could use help with finding a good mic stand and where to purchase one.

Thanks!

Budget?  Planning on a preamp and/or outboard ADC as well?  What recorder do you use?

Check the Knowledge Base | Archive | Mics & Setup forum for a post including mic stand options and sources.

what Skalinder said...there are hundreds of options...determine a budget...D/L tapes made with different gear, and buy what you like best. look at sig lines...research...i bet most of the gear that works best for our purposes is covered whether in the regular threads or the where to begin section.

I’ve had a few weird experiences and a few close brushes with total weirdness of one sort or another, but nothing that’s really freaked me out or made me feel too awful about it. - Jerry Garcia
