Neumann KM254's
« on: September 02, 2005, 09:20:25 AM »
I've listened to a few recordings with these, mainly Sandy Alexander's pulls.  Good recordings, I've enjoyed the few I've found.

Wondering if anyone else was running them. Looks like they are a difficult mic to come by.

nah.. too expensive. these go far much less if you look around the web.

the km254 is vbasically just the same as the km54, the diffrence is that these were made for german broadcast production and has tuchel connector and rf filtering.

Looks like the KM54's are a bit easier to find.  Thanks for the info!

Sandy has actually stealthed with those mics too.  said he used a bunch of D cells strapped all over him.

he still does stealth with them!  40 d-cells to run them.
