OS X 10.4 FTP problem

anyone try uploading through Safari/ftp?  I keep getting an error message "xxxx cannot be added because xx folder cannot be modified" and i cant upload anything, though user/pass works fine.

Sounds like an issue with the login's permissions  ???

did you try an app like transmit/fetch/interarchy?

CaptainFTP is the best mac ftp app, hands down.
Fetch is decent
