"Mac The Ripper" is a great freeware program for copying DVD's for "backup".

CK1x, CK2x, CK3x > Hub Industry Cables > Naiant PFA or MK46 > 460B
CK1, CK8, CK63 > 460b

thanks..im not looking to shrink or alter commercial dvds at all, just wanting the 'proper' way to go from dvd>rip to hard drive>back to dvd.  i can obviously do the disc copy in toast, but, at least on a pc, theres more accurate software for going from disc>harddrive other than the obvious dragging of the files from one to the other.  mind you, that may be the best method on a mac...i dunno!??!?

MAc The Ripper is great for any and all dvd copying.  Commercial or no.  It creates a DVD image to a specified folder.
