The portabrace AR-7 holds the 722 perfectly, and there is an extra pouch.

It was made for the 722 specifically.

what mics are you running these days?  If you have actives and A20S mount, you can get pretty damn small.

For the 722 alone with just mics and a set of cables, you can fit that 722 and mic bodies in a very small eastpack waist bag.  That is my preferred bag for the very low profile stuff.  No padding but for stealthy stuff I wear it on your belly and I have padding there.

For 722+V3+bat, Mountainsmith cairne is a great solution though you could go with the next size down.  I use the cairne for open taping an all my crap fits, extra clamps and capsules, etc.  You can carry it like a small case or wear it as a lumbar bag.

I got the V3>722 bag covered. It's a Lowepro Vidcam 5 and it's just about perfect, yet still very small. For The 722 only, I could go real small. My mics of choice lately are AKG CK1x caps>actives>JWmod 460's with kwon bar and Schoeps mount. This could make for a seriously small sized bag, yet I would still like some padding, like a small camera or vid bag. I don't stealth so I don't need the fanny pack solution.

Thanks for all the input, I'll be looking at these Portabraces also, but would like to find something local and quick.

For 722 alone with the mics you have (basicly what I have too: kwon bar, A20S, caps) you can get the very small mountainsmith tour pack to hold all that and a spare battery - but you'll have to add some padding.

I like portabrace bags but for most of what I do, I prefer the less obvious gear bag look.

Another option that I still use occasionally is a simple bookbag backpack,  In my case everything plus the little bogen stand fits into a book bag, so it appears to be nothing of interest to the causal observer.

That list looks more realistic than mine. Forgot about the potential need for clamps, tape, windscreens etc.

Man a picture would be great. I checked the link Teddy gave(thanks teddy) and I can't get a good idea of what fits where. Since it is a little expensive, some pics would be sweet. Blew all my money on this 722.

I also use a Cairn, generally only when I'm bringing extra gear.  I hang my canare 15 and 25' cables (if I need'em) on the outside of the bag.  They just don't need to be inside.  The big shure screens always go into the drink holder pockets (in bags).  I always keep the 722 in the foam case when in the cairn.  Super clamps are either on the stand or clamped to various points on the cairn.

I also have a much smaller fanny I use when I'm just bringing 722+actives+screens+small cables.

While running, I try and hang my bag from a shelf or a railing whenever possible.  It is really nice not having it on a table or on the floor.

Found the portabrace in rig pics. Looks nice, but so much damn velcro. I'm looking for something simpler, like a drop in top load type bag, similar to my vidcam 5. Thanks again.
