« on: December 16, 2005, 12:13:19 PM »
These are what ill need for my CMC6 bodies yeah>??or will they not fit...all the threads ive read point to them.

Any alternatives??i will never use the caps without bodies...so active/low profile isnt a concern..

Yup.  I'd use the A20S instead of the A20.  Same shockmount, just a stiffer elastic which will help with the weight of the full body + cap.  Alternatives - just about any of the typically used shockmounts - AT8415, AT8410a, any other shockmount for a 20mm mic (I know there are others, just don't know 'em off the top of my head), etc.

teddy, you can buy the elastics for like $5 a set (two in a package, good for one a20).  get some regular thin elastics as well if you need more isolation.  i switched elastics from the stiffer to the looser on my AK-Kwon bar active set up.  it is a bit bouncy but since I have noticed less noise when I have handled my stand, I have gone with those instead.  And while you are at the factory, pick up an extra mic sled ($8), the hooks on the sled that hold the elastics are the 'achillies heel' of that set up.  Schoeps may be expensive, but they pack every conceivable part in stock at a fair price.

When I had schoeps, I found that the AT 8410a's worked quite well with them.   With the A20, you really have to wedge the mic in there since it's such a tight fit.
