Correct way to load new Firmware

Got my Micro Track do I need to go to Firmware in the Menu first before I connect it to my computer and then down load. Could you tell me the correct way to load New Firmware to my Micro track. Thanks

Check the readme.txt that comes with the firmware update. Firmware update on M-Audio's support page:
