Newegg has a 250GB samsung for $100 shipped, and a W.D. 320GB for around $120 shipped. I really need a new drive. Opinions on which would be better?

All other things being equal, that's $0.40 per GB vs. $0.375 per GB.
I'd take the WD over Samsung personally even if they were the same capacity, speed, cache and price.
