Seriously, the band makes the music. Tapers just point mics in the right direction and hit "record".
That's good to hear! The last patcher I had complained about my AKGs, fluffed schoeps for about 15 minutes, stayed patched in, and farted on me all night long.
would it be to get a 1/8inch > rca thing and then 2 1/4 inch guys to run into the mt, then settings would be line in, wav, 44.1, 16 bit
Unless your running a coax into it, the 1/4 jacks are all ye gotz!

I am planning on borrowing a microtrack for a stealth try. will just be using my old little oade omni's made with panasonic capsules. they terminate in an 1/8" plug and draw power from the unit. I am curious what settings the MT should be on. also what inputs on the MT should I be using for the best results? I know I have read a bunch of stuff about using different jacks and what not, just curious what peoples opinions are? Thanks!Geoff
24b is the way to go, if you have the storage space. Good Luck!

The 1/8" input seems to overload and 1/4" underpowers the omni's (at least this is my conclusion). Maybe you can run 1/4" input if you can use something else to power the mics. What you need to do is run down to your local ratshack and purchase a $6.99 1/8" headphone volume adapter. Right off the bat that seems to auttenuate the sound about 8-10 db which may be enough otherwise you have a volume knob to lower the volume even more. 24b is the way to go, if you have the storage space. Good Luck!

Good Luck!it will be a symphony performance, wondering if I should just run a dat and screw the microtrack?although, I'd really like to get this one in 24bit
Your prolly okay at a symphony, but if it's critical, run the dat until you get the MT figured out.
