Finally taped with JB3 last nite.
« on: February 20, 2006, 04:39:48 PM »
And it was surprisingly easy, although I did have a buddy walk me through it at first. I don't like how you have to set its levels, thats weak, but I taped it till it hit the 3 hr mark, in retrospect, I should have stoppeed, and recorded a new file for set 2, and noty just paused it for set break.

My battery pack worked, thanks RowJimmy, and now all I need to do is to get the file jazz onto my harddrive cpu.

I ran it optical in, wav, 44.1
Seriously, the band makes the music. Tapers just point mics in the right direction and hit "record".

That's good to hear!  The last patcher I had complained about my AKGs, fluffed schoeps for about 15 minutes, stayed patched in, and farted on me all night long.

Um, in my room, one seam is a little off and I stare at it constantly. It's, like, destroying me.

If you press the FFD button when recording it will automatically save the current track and start a new one. I used to do that between sets.

good call, I just assumed I was changing the level by using the vol. up down buttons, and I didn't watch it during the show, if optical acts like digital with dat, then it's golden!

+t

does it take long between or is it fast, i am thinking if byu chance you needed to do it during the show so not to lose the recording or waste more time stopping and going back to start a new one
Mics - AKG ck61/ck63 (c480b & Naiant actives), SP-BMC-2
XLR Cables - Silver Path w/Darktrain stubbies
Interconnect Cables - Dogstar (XLR), Darktrain (RCA > 1/8) (1/8 > 1/8), and Kind Kables (1/8f > 1/4)
Preamps - Naiant Littlebox & Tinybox
Recorders - PCM-M10 & DR-60D

using the FF button is much quicker IME, usually it starts at about 3 sec or so, so I am assuming it is still capturing somewhat while transitioning to the new track. YMMV

great, now I can borrow your MT! My M1 ate the tape at beginning of set 2 for McCoy! I've gotta send it off and move into something with no moving parts.
If I could figure out how to give you a +t, I'd give you one! I'll buy you a beer instead.

lol, I think my misguided enthusiasm has hit a snag, when my jb3 is connecting to my cpu

my notmad Xtreamer is saying:

"your jukebox is not connected. Connect using notmad manager in the systray"

Im not sure what this means, but Im on the case... >:D

OK
I know everyone has been holding their breath, so suffice it to say, I borrowed a friend of mine's jb3 software disc, and I figured out how to import the tracks to my cpu
