Latest experiences with Audio-DVD-Creator?
« on: March 03, 2006, 09:27:30 AM »

Has anyone recently purchased this software to make DVD-V discs?  I remember reading previously that folks were waiting for software updates/upgrades but the creators had ceased to provide any.  Has this still been working well for users?

I'm still a ways away from making the jump to DVD-A am and wondering if this is still a good medium for making 16/48 discs.

Thanks in advance.

Through advice on this board, I have burned DVD V disks with Audio DVD Creator..   works like a charm..   just burn the image to your hardrive (in either 2448, 2496), then burn the files it creates in the VIDEO_TS folder with NERO (or other) using it's  "create dvd v" option..

I have just recently started re-transferring my DATs 16/48 and burning DVD-A.

I find it to be a good way to enjoy the full Master recording. For archiving i still burn the original transferred (wav to flac) I burn the 16/48 tracked version and a 16/44.1 trakced version as well.

I do the samething for all my 24 bit stuff as well.

DVD-A is great for playback but not as universally usuable as DVD-V from my undersatnding (it will playback in standard DVD players or non-DVD-A players so to speak).

so the format decision probably would come down to playback system. If you have DVD-A then I would got that way if u dont go DVD-V

jsut start with 24/48 or 24/96 files and it'll work fine.  don't let the program resample though, i did that once and the track transitions got messed up.
Really not very evil at all now...
