Question about Studio projects LSD2
« on: June 17, 2006, 11:04:42 AM »
Hey there...just curious if you can run the LSD2 with phantom power provided by a Denecke PS-2???  Does the PS-2 have enough output to drive these mics?

Anyone know? or has anyone tried?

never tried, but it should work fine.  they aren't current hogs like EW's.

I power the LSD2 with a PS-2, and use line transformers to go line in on my M1. The LSD2 will run about 10-12 hours continuously using a 8x AA 1800 mAh NiMH external pack. I've never tried using a standard 9V batt. I don't think the LSD2 is sensitive enough to run line in w/out transformers.

Quick hijack: If I needed more gain than transformers could provide, could I run mic in on my M1, or would it just brickwall?
