Tascam DV-RA1000HD

The Tascam DVRA-1000 now with a 60GB internal HD. I haven't seen any pricing as of yet.

Maybe a couple of small scratches, but thats because these mics are chick magnets.
Girls always up on Andy tryin to grab these mics, the scratches are from their wedding rings.

We touched on that thought a little in an earlier DVRA thread, I don't think anyone tried it, nor do I know if it's possible to simply add a HD to the DVRA.  Perhaps with the newer firmware it'll be possible, but I have no working understanding of how IDE controllers or the likewise work.

Anyone with some knowledge care to chime in?

i read somewhere that it was not possible ..cant remember where though.

the HD lacks mirroring ability and is USB 2 only...but I dont care about that personally..

price is around 2g I believe..(80g hdd)

given the lower prices of HD's now..just can't believe why tascam didn't put in a standard 100 gb. ::)

well...that seems to be pretty standard stuff...SD 722---40gb...deva---80g Nagra---80g..
