so, that article says that it's the first to ship a Blu-Ray burner:

"LaCie today announced it is first to ship worldwide a professional external Blu-ray burning solution for Mac OS® and Windows® called the LaCie d2 Blu-ray Drive"

but a little searching around reveals a couple of others as well:

here's a Sony Blu-Ray burner for ~$750:

maybe those don't work with MACs and only under Windows?  in any case, I'm guessing it won't take long for a lot more burners to come on the market, the prices will go down, and we'll be archiving our shows 25 GB at a time :)
