Ralph the Wonder Mount?

Has anyone used or handled one of these in person?  I really don't like the shocks for the 414's.  Was thinking of getting these but I can't figure out how the mic is locked in and kept from spinning around.  Seems to be designed with 414's in mind.  Hmmm.

what_ you don't like the plastic shock mounts?
I was a bit surprised when I got my XLSs
I had used some ULSs before and their's were metal
are the TLIIs' plastic or metal?

I haven't seen these yet ,
but I would imagine that screw in the front
is what locks down the mic

although at $149 apiece... I don't know
if you get some let us know what you think

Well you can actually get em on Ebay from user: vintagemicrophone for 68 bucks.  The ring portion on the 414 shocks is metal but the inner parts are plastic.  One has a fracture in the plastic and on the other [2] of the tabs that lock the mic in place when you tighten it fell out.  Neither affect the usablity of them but they just bug me.  I want something better.

Edited to say...what screw?

$68 is alot better

the screw in the front probably acts as a clamp for the ring the mic sits in
it's kind of hard to tell since this is the only view provided

can you provide an ebay link?
