Edirol R-09/Marantz PMD660
« on: March 08, 2007, 01:44:03 PM »
Hello everyone. This is my first post and I have a little question: Between the R-09 and the Marantz 660, which one records the best when used with the on board mics? Has anyone ever compared the two side by side?
Also I would like to thank you all for all the great useful wealth of info generated by these forums.

i know the 660 does 16bit and the R-09 does 24bit.  on board mics, i guess it depends on what you plan on recording.  i got a 660 from a guy who used it to record bass guitar lessons in his house.  anything for a concert and you'd need external microphones.
microphones > a/d pre > recorder
