Guys,
I have an old DAT tape where left channel drops out during the last 20 minutes of the tape. What is the best way of salvaging it? Is it just a copy paste deal? I use Soundforge 6.0 FWIW.

been years since I have used SF but I am nearly positive it has a feature that allows you to highlight all of the silence and choose "copy other channel" or the like. Best of luck and hopefully it was not a gear issue...

I use SF8, and there is definitely a pull down under Tools>Repair>Copy other channel. If it is not available on your version, you can always to a cut and paste.

I would copy and paste, but that is just me.
