No worries.  Looks like the 606 may have missed the boat for our purposes.  The 2 hour time limitation of the NP-1 battery and the limited record time to the dvd drive.  Check out the record times listed here:

http://www.fostexinternational.com/docs/pro_support/pro_dvd_rec_times.shtml

4 & 6 track recording is limited to 48 hHz and only gives you +/- 30 minutes record time.

I can't tell from that chart what the record time limits are when recording to the hard drive.

It doesn't tell you that.  Good call.  Note, the HD is listed as an "option".

These things look cool!

The PD204 has a "Jam" switch!

Been waiting for that feature to come out on a TS.com embraced piece of gear...

FWIW, the Tascam HD-P2 lets you jam sync.

The 6ch box is an updated version of one that has been out for a while... the Hard Drive option is a must for our purposes..  from a cost point the 6ch is in the $8K area as I investigated multi-channel options last year...

The other box is New as far as I can tell and looks interesting...

What is that feature?  Is it for combining files together...
I had never seen it on any piece of gear, and just got a chuckle out of it.
