Sony SDT-9000 worth for backup?
« on: April 18, 2007, 03:36:17 PM »
Hello:
Im able to get a SDT-9000 for a low price tag, like $17 bucks
I have lots of DAT masters that I want to back up on DVD`s
Is it worth?  I have read in here that is kind of tricky get it going
Or better do it the easy way?  SONY M1>SOUNDCARD>PC  then do all the known stuff resample, track and finally store it on a DVD or other media?

I've got one and it was worth the effort.  VERY much worth the effort.  PM me and I'll share what I know, if you need help.

it certainly is "tricky" to get it going, but very gratifying once you've got everything setup.

several of us on this board have used DDS drives successfully!  just ask... you'll get a helpful answer!
