OK so I got this for free.  I know it ain't much.  The question is:  Is there anything that can be done to this mic to make it worthwhile?  And, yes I've got some time on my hands being unemployed right now, Kirk

DAMN, you posted even before I could edit my post.  Do you have a TS feed hardwired into your brain?  Interesting offer  I mean this thing is only worth $60 brand new right now.  But, then again I'm sure you could do a better job than me...Hmmm very tempting Chris....then we could talk about an xlr connector and phantom power too...

Lets not get carried away I cant turn a turd into a steak I was thinking of reducing the distortion and changing the mic capsules. Not making it balanced and making it run from phantom :)

It's a decent mic to use on a video camera to get some improvement over the built in mic.
