Looking for an iRiver Rockbox build...
« on: June 16, 2007, 01:11:38 AM »
So, I've been getting some skips in my iRiver recordings lately. I've tried clearing the HD and pushing the reset button, but I'm still getting the occasional skip (sounds like its dropping a few samples once every 15 minutes or so. I'd like; A. Any advice if anyone has any experience with this, and 2. to see if anyone has a build of Rockbox saved on their computer as the Rockbox site seems to be down. The build info says I have this version: 060913-1927. I like it, I think its specially designed for recording, it has large levels, a graphic wav view ect.. If anyone can help me out, I'd be VERY grateful!

ouch, your build is too old.
get the latest one + REP(recording enhancement pack) and you will be happy.
never had problems when using the latest builds+latest REP.
there were some problems last year with isssues as you described.

We have experienced a small issue with the download server which was fixed, and the main site moved to a new IP address yesterday but DNS updates should have propagated by now (if not, kick your ISP ;))

For the rest, do get a more recent build!

I have whole March, April and May saved in my hard disc right now. If you still can't download from the rockbox site, drop me a PM with your mail address and I'll mail you whatever version you want.

Is the download link on the site the latest build?  I haven't upgraded in a while, but I haven't had any problems yet.  Where can I get the REP?

I can just copy the new .rockbox folder over and replace the old one, right?

Edit: Nevermind.  I asked before I finished reading.

IMPORTANT: if you're upgrading from a very old version, make sure you also have the latest bootloader, and that the rockbox.iriver file does not exist in the root (these days it should only be in the .rockbox directory)

Get the most recent REP or official build
