Hello, I was looking at a less expensive type of "great" sounding cardoid that I can use at concerts where I will not be so worried about the "gear"

I have DPA 4022 and DPA 4061, but again I am looking at the SENN's or MBHO as a backup pair of cardoids that i can use in more hostile environments.  I hear the AT series has some distortion during louder shows, some i am not looking to go to much into modifications since I already have 2 other set ups.

iam Looking for the best sounding lower priced mics

please advise

didn't realize the senns were so small so I suggested a small full body mic.  184's are full body.  small full body's but.....

I still would like to know what people thought would be the best cardoid mic lets say below a schoeps or DPA, in price.

Maybe check out Team Beyerdynamic, there's talk of an active solution for the MC930's (CK930) and I think at least one TS member (illconditioned?) owns them already, they have to be ordered from Germany, though. I'm actually looking into getting a pair of these myself if they sound like the full bodied version. Topic: http://taperssection.com/index.php/topic,83724.0.html
Or you could wait for the MG Nbox to come out.
