I have a problem with a recording of Marc Ford from the other night that I'm hoping someone can give me some advice how to fix. Not sure how to describe it, but the low end seems to vibrate, sort of "fuzzy" . Below are some ~1 min. samples of the 16/44.1 WAV (as FLAC).
http://www.sendspace.com/file/58yjm6http://www.sendspace.com/file/5zhtvmThe entire recording isn't like this - these are just two of the more noticeable segments. I think most of the time, it may simply be buried in the rest of the frequencies and not as noticeable.
I've tried a high pass filter at varying freq., but it seems when the fuzziness retreats so does the vibrancy of the recording. I'd almost rather release it as is than let all the air out of the recording. I've tried to zero in on the frequency and use a notch filter, but I just can't get the settings right to do the job.
Any insight, oh sage TS.com members? Thanks!
BTW, I'm using Audacity.
