I want to capture & convert some vids from YouTube. The capture is no problem using DownLoadHelper in FireFox, but the conversion is.
Using Freez FLV Converter, I'm able to convert to AVI using the defaults, no problem. Defaults are 500k/s video bitrate, 128k audio, 29.97 frp. No luck so far with MPEG2, the one time I managed to get it to convert I ended up with audio & complete mess for video.
Has anyone used this program (or can anyone suggest a better free program)?
I'd even be satisfied if I could get better quality than the defaults, so the quality isn't as obviously low when I increase the screen res.
Couldn't find anything here, & googling produced tons of tech info I could barely sift thru, or suggestions for bitrates that the software won't do.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
