How to wire the AT 843 caps?
« on: December 30, 2007, 10:10:49 PM »
Hey yall,
I bought some of the AT "podium mics" off of ebay that are apparently just AT 843 mics with a podium attachment to it.  I removed the "podium" part of the mic and now have the pre-amp part and the capsule/element.  I assume one wire will go to the "pin" of the capsule and one will go to the casing around the capsule as the ground?  right?

I'll post pictures which should help me describe what I'm getting at.......

Anyone have pics of making your own "active" at 843's?

Thanks,

KLowe
I actually work for a living with music, instead of you jerk offs who wish they did.

I have a set of podium AT mics here too and have been wondering if I could remove the "podium" portion.  How did you remove it?  Just cut the flexible portion right below where it goes into the barrell?  Mine are the AT853 models.
