That is funny Gutbucket!
Yeah I love that mixing desk. I found it at Guitar Center in a dusty box in the back corner of their mixing room. It had been marked down a few times and the sales guy wanted rid of it. I got it for $35, and the Sonic Maximizer I got for $30, it had been sitting there for a while too...
The QSC 1100 Amp I found in one of our vacant buildings at work. it was an old dolby movie lab. This amp model has some history in dolbys movie theaters in the past... It is amazing the amp was undamaged and 100% operational, the roof had major leaks.
The design acoustic speakers I got as a gift when my parents moved. These are quite interseting speakers, esspecially for free. They have a down fireing 10" woofer, you should be able to see the gap at the bottom of the speaker...These are one of the model years made by Audio Technica, not the original company...
The power center came from Circuit City's going out of business sell. It still wasn't cheap even at %75 off...
The Sub was a Besy Buy clearance special. I think I scored it for $50 or $75... I found a bunch of modifications on the web that made this sub far better than I ever expected. (mod podge cone coating, polyfill inside and remove all the plastic in the back.)
The computer was a broken work station from work. It took a little work to get it going again, but hard drives and memory are cheap these days!
The only thing I paid full price for in this rig was the monitor and the USB DAC!
I love the man cave!
