You shouldn't need to spend any money. Try a friend's computer, for example, over USB and / or firewire.
I'm also not clear whether you've actually tried my suggestion or not:
It's [the software is] already on TS, as noted before. Try uninstalling -everything-, and then delete the folders in Windows Explorer (many installs do not actually perform this last step, so do it manually). Edited to add: Reboot. Then try not installing all the other crud that comes with the JB3 and install just the driver and Nomad Explorer. No PlayCenter, etc., etc.
I keep reading about PlayCenter, and the Creative Walkthrough, etc. Don't install any of that stuff.
Install only the driver and Nomad Explorer. Perhaps there's a problem with all the other schlock you're installing in addition to just the driver and Nomad Explorer. I don't know. But we can't find out if you don't do precisely what we request and explicitly confirm that you've done it. Maybe you already have, and if so I apologize, but it's simply not clear to me precisely what you've done and what you haven't.
Without very detailed information back from you about what precisely what you've tried (Like: What version of the various software applications are you installing? Which driver versions? What version of firmware on the JB3?), how you tried it (did you uninstall and delete the old software first, or simply re-install on top of the old software), and what precisely happened (did the software install succeed? or did it fail with a message? does the PC present any messages or errors when trying to connect?, etc.) all we can do is repeat what's worked for us in the past without any sort of customized support.
I'm not necessarily saying we will have a customized solution for you based on detailed feedback, but without it we have no hope of helping further.
