Has anyone actually used one? The price is good at ~ $600. How's the sound??

Now they don't have to worry about setting pickup pattern and getting the same performance at a lower cost. May not be the best all around mic for a taper, but it has its place in the market. I am sure they will sell well.
spyder9, how do you arrive at the conclusion that this must be an electret design? The spec sheet references a patent which I downloaded and read; nothing there mentions or (to me) implies an electret.--best regards
