Microtrack provides 5 volts plug in power to the 1/8, which is enough to run the DPA 406O series. Phantom power, if switched on, is provided to the 1/4's.
Since Darktrain added that the PDM 620 provides 5 volts to the 1/8 also (it would be plug in power, not phantom), that may prove to be a better choice if the price difference is worth it to you. I've had no problems with a MT 24/96, but you do need to use an external battery pack for decent running time (I think an MT II may run a good bit longer on the internal).
