Microtrack provides 5 volts plug in power to the 1/8, which is enough to run the DPA 406O series.
Most small recorders provide 5v plug-in power to the 1/8 mic input.
But I can't comment on which have "enough" juice to drive this particular DPA.
As I understand it, the Olympus LS-10/11 provide more than most.
As for Microtrack, I have one, and it's really crap, in so many ways. It's about to go on eBay, now I have a PCM-M10, which seems to be brilliant. About the only situation I'd ever want an MT is for the digital input.
As for the Microtrack v2, if I've read things right, the mic input may actually be worse/noiser than the orig MT. See
