What ended up happening with all of this? I picked up a Tinybox a while back thinking I would have it set up to run the CK1x caps and some AT933/AT853. After some further research, sounds like the version of Tinybox that Ted is using runs 12v to the CK1x caps and 12v is too much for the ATs. But based on what Richard said, a regular battery box should run the CK1x caps. So, I have some follow up questions based on this discussion:
1. Will the CK1x caps run sufficently off of a battery box/preamp built for AT mics?
(specifically the Tinybox or Church CA9100 preamp, I have one of each and can make cables)
2. Can I use the Audio Technica PFAs with the CK1x caps? (took two old podium mic PFAs and installed mini-xlr connectors in them)
Thanks!
