There a hole in The battery door, no cutting required.
Looks like the cable would fit through the hole in the battery door though does the connection at the end of the cable fit through the hole in the battery door?

From the pics it looks like it would not fit.

Yes .

If you open the battery compartment and take a closer look it's not just a hole but a slot that is made to be used with that.

At least that's how i remember it,i sold that camera and dummy battery and no longer have it.

I feel funny saying it, but I had a ZS100 for several months before I realized that little rubber pull-tab on the bottom of the ZS100's battery compartment was a port hole door for a cable/cord.  I'd like to say it's easy to miss.  But that's probably just wishful confirmation bias.

I'm selling my ZS200 if anyone is interested.  I don't use it much.

Bought the Wasabi Batteries and fully charged them. On first set after 1 hours still had 2 bars left on the battery indicator for the ZS100. On second set with new fresh battery it ran 1 hour and 22 minutes and still had one bar left on the battery indicator.

Update:

Decided to buy a dummy battery for the ZS100 with a USB connector.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FQP6J7P?th=1

Received it this week and the cord from the dummy battery does fit through the ZS100 hole that is on the battery door that swings open. It does not sit flat with the cable coming out of the door. Use a small tripod or clip it to a mic stand so that is not an issue with my rig. The specs for the dummy battery USB cable input is 5V 2.4-4A. Already have a USB 5 volt 2.4A battery though on the cable specs sheet says the cable is best to run with 5V 3A or above.

Is my current USB 5V 2.4A battery have sufficient power for the ZS100?

Definitely. I think it even runs on 1A. Just ran mine for a couple mins off 1A.
