All good suggestions, which have worked for me.  Also, if you want to be a pussy, you could go to the back of the line and just wait for the wand's batteries to die.

I prefer the "look for someone doing a half-assed job and get in his line" method.

I usually get on the line where a woman is wanding, she sures hell will not touch your ass, crotch or even waist line.  I had this happen at a No Doubt show, i have my preamp stuffed in my backside, the security guys were checking men's backs but she wasn't.
