Anyone know of a special key combo to force a reset?

Just press and hold the power button for 10-15 seconds (just hold it until it turns off).

Try also holding the PWR button and pressing the DELETE button, this sometimes works, but if not, just eject the CF card.  This seems to shut down the deck immediately, and have not experienced any damage to CF or deck doing this.

Thanks for that tip - BTW I have NOT had any problems with the autosplit causing a freeze, yet...

Does anyone know if M-Audio is working on the autosplit/2 GB limit at this point in time?  Personally I am loving the little machine!

I pulled the card and still nothing.... I will try the PWR/DEL combo if it happens again.

Anyone think I have a defective unit?

I have had no probs w/ the auto-split on this firmware either.  Two recent shows where the split worked fine.

How much of a gap does it leave when auto splitting?  Its not a seamless auto-split yet is it?

nope, not seamless by any means.  bout 5-7 sec gap.

You might have already done this, but have you tried re-installing the firmware?  If not, do so as there remains little else to do except return the unit as defective.  Suggest NOT installing the three files, only the 2 upgrade files, but NOT the boot loader file.
