And all of the M-Audio devices I've seen have been bit perfect. While that doesn't necessarily mean this one is, at least they know how to do it.

My guess is a 3.7v internal li-ion.

no doubt, especially running a locking coax cable ala the audio magic preto digital cable, and that connection is SOLID as an aes connection, maybe even better
